Photos taken with the camera inside PlugOS are inferior to those captured directly on the host device, due to different implementation mechanisms. For stricter security, PlugOS transfers compressed images from the host to its built-in camera app for functions that require camera access. Multiple compression processes reduce image clarity and resolution, and switching to other camera apps cannot improve image quality. Please be noted.
Thanks for your reply. Overall, PlugMate has been extremely useful to me. It’s well-suited for debugging within my Android development workflow. I need to keep my phone connected to my computer for extended periods because I’m developing an application that sends commands to the phone and captures images from the device. This sometimes causes system instability, forcing the phone to restart due to code errors. Compared to enabling battery protection and keeping the phone constantly connected to the computer, the USB-powered PlugMate perfectly meets my needs.
