Thank you for the update. Data backup was an awaited feature for me unfortunatley I don’t see why this is better than the shared folder functionality that existed prior: it could be done before by zipping the files you wanted with a strong password and sharing it via shared folder.

Full plugos backup is something that is needed, personally I think you should focus on things that you can’t do with an ordinary phone. Many people whole life is on a phone, and losing it will take forever restoring and installing banking, goverment ids and other stuff that take ages to verify. Having an encrypted backup of that is something priceless.

I am waiting with enthusiasm the following things ( and I think others do too ):

  • Full hardware virtualization including IMEI
  • Full PlugOS backup
  • Linux client
  • Recent Android security patches ( the kernel i saw is updated but security patches remain in 2025 )

Looking forward!

Cheers,

Thanks for your feedback and suggestions. These features will be optimized and added in future updates.

The Linux client is now in testing; the Beta build is coming soon.

Thanks!
