Defense against key loggers

Dear PlugOS team,

a couple of days ago I purchased your PlugOS device and I am waiting for the delivery confirmation, I just like to ask ahead, prior the device arrives, if there is a mechanism build in to thwart key loggers on Windows 11, when using your device in an Internet Café or public library? I like to refer to the software GhostPress.

My second question is, can the PlugOS App for Windows been installed on a (secure) USB stick too, so that one does not need to install it on a public accessible device?

Best regards

Hi Ch1ffrepunk, thanks for your thoughtful questions.

Keylogger protection:

The PlugOS client app includes basic protections against screen capture and common keylogging techniques. On Windows, these protections are currently still in beta and will be improved over time.

Our security model assumes the host may be exposed but is generally under user control. If the host system is fully compromised (e.g. with administrative-level malware), no software-only solution can reliably guarantee secure input. In such cases, we recommend using another host device, or running from a clean environment (e.g. a live USB system).

Running PlugOS App from a live USB:

We have tested this internally — some live USB environments can run the PlugOS client successfully.

However, this is not an officially supported configuration at the moment, and our R&D and QA teams have not specifically optimized for it yet. Compatibility may vary depending on the environment (drivers, system interfaces, etc.).

Hello Sir,

thanks a lot for the information, much appreciated!

Best regards
