The product key serves as the unique identity credential for your plugMate device, provided as a QR code card (printed on the card inside the packaging box). Safeguard this key carefully, as it will be used for the following core scenarios.

  1. Initial Device Binding
    • Use Case: First-time activation of a new device

• Steps:

  1. Launch the plugMate client and select “Add New Device”

  2. Tap “Bind via Product Key”

  3. Scan the product key QR code

  4. Complete device verification and initial setup

  5. Adding New Device Bindings
    • Use Case: Adding a new phone/computer to an already activated plugMate device
    • Steps:

  6. Install the plugMate client on the new phone

  7. Connect to the plugMate device and launch the client

  8. Select “Bind New Device”

  9. Verify the product key to complete binding

  10. Unlock Password Reset

• Use Case: Forgotten unlock password

• Important Notice: This action will erase all data on the device

• Steps:

  1. Connect to the plugMate device and launch the client
  2. Go to Settings and select “Restore Factory Settings”
  3. Verify the product key to confirm the operation
  4. The system will erase data and reinitialize the device

• The product key is the sole proof of device ownership. Safeguard the original card.

• Avoid storing or transmitting the product key digitally.

• Regularly back up important data to prevent loss during password reset.

• Before resetting your password, ensure all critical data is backed up
